  • Month-End Closing: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all cost-related transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.

  • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Collaborate with the operations and production teams to identify areas of improvement in manufacturing processes and recommend cost-reduction strategies.

  • Inventory Management: Support the Material Manager in ensuring the accuracy of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory through cycle counting and annual physical inventory.  Provide detailed analysis of variances and identify root causes for corrective action.

  • Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Help maintain strong internal controls for cost tracking and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a plus).

  • Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within cabinetry or similar industries (e.g., furniture manufacturing, woodworking).

  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, production processes, and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (ERP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

  • Experience with inventory management systems and cost analysis tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, purchasing, pricing).

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and cost-reduction strategies in production environments.

  • Familiarity with cabinet manufacturing processes, including material sourcing, cutting, assembly, and finishing techniques.

  • Experience in implementing and optimizing ERP systems for cost tracking and reporting.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Opportunities for career growth and professional development.

  • Dynamic work environment with a collaborative team culture.
